The 2024 Giving Challenge is upon us, and it’s an opportunity for everyone in Manatee County to be part of something extraordinary. Presented by the Community Foundation of Sarasota County and strengthened by The Patterson Foundation, this dynamic 24-hour online event connects over 700 nonprofits with passionate donors to create lasting impacts across our communities.
As proud members of the Hernando de Soto Historical Society, we’ve consistently strived to make a positive difference in Manatee County. Through our fundraising efforts, we annually contribute over $50,000 to community charities, educational programs, and scholarships via our sister organization, the Conquistador Historical Foundation.
This year, we’re excited to introduce you to our vision for the future – Conquistador Square. Picture a place where history comes alive, where future generations can visit and create cherished memories. Conquistador Square is more than just a dream; it’s a tangible project that we can bring to life with your support.
How can you help? By participating in the 24-Hour Giving Challenge on April 9-10, from noon to noon. Stay tuned for the donation link, which we’ll send out on our social media pages prior to the start of the challenge. Your donations will be matched 1:1 by The Patterson Foundation, doubling the impact of your generosity (up to $100 per donor).
Spread the word to your friends and family, and invite them to join us in shaping a brighter future for Manatee County. Explore our plans for Conquistador Square and share our event page on Facebook.
Let’s be the ones to shape the future – a future where history is preserved, heritage is sustained, and our hearts complete the dream. Thank you for your generosity and for being an essential part of our organization. Together, we can make a difference. #GivingChallenge2024 #BeTheOne
