CHECK-IN 1:30 PM
SHOTGUN START 3:00 PM DOWNTOWN BRADENTON

Our annual Main Street Putt-Putt is truly a twist on miniature golf. The De Soto Main Street Putt-Putt can be described as a Putt-Putt Pub Crawl Tournament. Each of the ten bars downtown will build a miniature golf hole, whatever theme they choose. Teams of four move from bar to bar with their putters, golf balls, and official scoreboard. Grand prizes are awarded to the team with the “lowest team score”. Many other prizes, raffles, and a 50/50 raffle fundraiser throughout the day.

Who is running the event?

The Hernando De Soto Historical Society members will be stationed at each hole as official score keepers and monitors. The owners and employees of each bar are in charge of quenching the thirst of the golfers and their followers. There will be between 150 – 200 people attending and participating at each hole location during the event. For additional information, please feel free to contact Patrick “Puffy” Cline.

When does this event begin and when does it end?

Registration will be from 1:30PM-2:30PM at Cork’s Cigar Bar. A shot gun start will begin promptly at 3:00 PM at all locations. De Soto members will handle all registration and monitoring of play throughout the day. Teams will then travel from bar to bar on the official scorecard. All scorecards must be completed and turned in at Cork’s Cigar Bar for the awards presentation by 7:00 PM. The committee will tabulate the scorecards to determine rankings and prize awards. This will take approximately an hour. The event will conclude thereafter.

What is the Team Spirit Attire and Poker Hand

All teams are encouraged to dress in their best inflatable suit or costume. A $250.00 gift card prize will be awarded to the Best Dressed foursome. Any player shooting under par will receive a card for the Poker hand which will be revealed at the awards presentation after the tournament.
