Being part of the Queen’s Court is about so much more than wearing a crown — it’s about discovering your potential and making a difference.
Court members gain valuable experience through:
✨ Networking and leadership development opportunities
✨ Mentoring younger participants (our Conquistadorables)
✨ Taking part in community events and parades
✨ Welcoming dignitaries and representing the community with pride
The season culminates in two unforgettable events — the Queen Selection Program and the Investiture and Coronation Ball, where two extraordinary young women are crowned as Queen and Princess.
Since 1941, the De Soto Queen has served as a community ambassador, representing Manatee County locally, nationally, and even internationally — including visits to our sister city, Barcarrota, Spain.
Both the Queen and Princess continue their journey of service and receive additional scholarships at the end of their reign.
If you’re a young woman with a passion for community, leadership, and personal growth, this is your moment to shine. The De Soto Queen’s Court is an opportunity to build lifelong friendships, develop professional skills, and become part of a tradition that continues to inspire generations.
