Thankful for our De Soto First Responders

Greatful we did not suffer more damage.

Considering the recent challenges posed by Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton, we regret to announce the postponement of the Main Street Putt-Putt event and the 25th Annual De Soto Charity Golf Tournament. The impacts of these storms have been significant, affecting many individuals and businesses in our community, and our primary focus is on the well-being of everyone involved. We will be announcing new dates for these events soon.

The devastation we’ve witnessed in our community is truly heartbreaking. Many of our own members have suffered damages but have continued to show remarkable resilience and commitment to helping others. From preparing food for volunteers and first responders to distributing sandbags and assisting neighbors with debris cleanup, our members have gone above and beyond in these trying times.

Despite facing their own cleanup challenges, our members took the initiative to board up our headquarters which sustained damage including the loss of two roll-up doors and significant issues with a third. This selflessness exemplifies the strength and spirit of our community.

We also want to acknowledge the dedication of our many members who are first responders, working tirelessly on the front lines during these storms. We have many members that are first responders who have been at the forefront of these storms. The bravery and commitment of all the first responders in our area have not gone unnoticed, and we are incredibly grateful for your service.

We are working diligently to reschedule our events and look forward to gathering as a community once again. For the latest updates, please follow us on Facebook. Our hearts are with all those affected, and together, we will rebuild and recover.
