Introducing the new faces of the Hernando de Soto Historical Society, we proudly present De Soto Queen Alexis Williams and De Soto Princess Kinsey Bunce, who have gracefully taken on their roles as ambassadors of the society’s rich historical heritage. With their charisma and passion for their community, these young women are poised to make a significant impact during their reign.
Both Alexis and Kinsey possess a genuine desire to engage with the community and raise awareness about the rich heritage preserved by the Hernando de Soto Historical Society. Their passion for history, combined with their vibrant personalities, makes them ideal representatives for this esteemed organization. Throughout their reign, the De Soto Queen and Princess will participate in various cultural events, educational programs, and community outreach initiatives, showcasing the society’s mission of honoring and preserving their local history.
MEET OUR QUEEN
Alexis Williams, De Soto Queen 2024, her hobbies include baton twirling, teaching baton, dance, and spending time with her family. Alexis attends State College of Florida where she is pursuing her degree in nursing. She plans to become a neonatal intensive care travel nurse.
As the new De Soto Queen, Alexis is looking forward to making new connections with people and representing the Hernando do Soto Historical Society this year. One of her favorite memories while on Queen’s Court was jumping off the diving board a million times at the pool party with the conquistadorables.
She enjoys going to concerts and attended 5 in the last year!
She loves to tan, especially at the beach.
MEET OUR PRINCESS
Kinsey Bunce, De Soto Princess 2024, enjoys weightlifting, reading novels and traveling. Kinsey is currently attending Hillsborough Community College to pursue a degree in nursing. In the future she has plans to become a nurse anesthetist for the Veterans Administration.
Kinsey’s favorite moment on Queen’s Court was going to the St. Patrick’s Day parade in Tampa and seeing all the different Krewes. She is looking forward to going to Spain this year and learning about the culture.
Her favorite food is rare steak (she wants to hear it moo!)
