Presented by Manatee Memorial Hospital and the Manatee Memorial Foundation, Inc., and hosted by the Hernando de Soto Historical Society, this prestigious event promises an enchanting atmosphere as it pays homage to the 77th Hernando de Soto and crowns a Queen.
As part of the 2024 Hernando de Soto Heritage Festival, proudly sponsored by Oysters Rock Hospitality, Cafe L’Europe, and Anna Maria Oyster Bar, the De Soto Ball welcomes esteemed Krewes from various corners, adding a touch of grandeur to the affair. From Anna Maria Island to Barcarrota, Spain, guests and visiting Krewes alike will be bedecked in their finest attire, creating a mesmerizing spectacle reminiscent of the city founders from centuries past.
For generations, the De Soto Ball has remained a cornerstone of Manatee County’s social calendar, drawing attendees from far and wide. Open to the public, guests can choose between a Dinner, Ball & Show ticket, or a Ball & Show ticket, both offering an unforgettable experience complete with an open bar. Those opting for the dinner option will be treated to a sumptuous feast featuring a grilled 8oz Tenderloin Filet, accompanied by delectable sides and the melodic tunes of American Idol Recording artist, Sam Woolf.
The highlight of the evening arrives with the introduction of the 2024 Queen’s Court, comprised of Briana Bird, Kinsey Bunce, Taylor Clarkson, Morgan Johnson, Taryn Shawley, and Alexis Williams, alongside their Conquistadorables. Among these distinguished individuals, a Queen and Princess will be crowned, marking a momentous occasion filled with joy and anticipation. Join the newly crowned Royal Family and the Crewe for an evening of dancing and entertainment by Shaman, accompanied by more captivating performances by Sam Woolf.
