The Hernando de Soto Historical Society is a not-for-profit organization founded in 1939 and consists of volunteer members who foster and facilitate an appreciation of Manatee County’s Spanish – American heritage. Through fundraising events and sponsorships we are able to provide educational opportunities and donate to local charities, organizations and individuals.

CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENT

The annual De Soto Charity Golf Tournament is just what it sounds! Grab your friends for a fun filled day of playing golf and supporting the community. Proceeds of the Charity Golf Tournament will go to a charity of our choosing. There will be raffle items, including a 50/50, silent and live auction, and awards. On the course you will find food, complimentary beverages, and games!

BINGO BONANZA

Bonanza- a situation or event that creates a sudden increase in wealth, good fortune, or profits. Exactly what you can expect at our Bingo Night! Bring plenty of cash because this is a cash event, and you won’t want to miss the chance to win awesome prizes. The games will start promptly at 7PM, but make sure you come early to socialize with everyone and take advantage of the food and drink specials at Central Cafe. This event is a fantastic opportunity to meet new people, have a great time, and support the Hernando de Soto Historical Society.
